To be clear, I haven't taken an official stance on this whole ODST price thing. I haven't played the game and I don't have a complete grasp of what value lies in the main campaign. However, let's consider some observations. One, Bungie initially said that ODST was being developed as a budget title (I promise you no developer here on out will ever make this mistake again). Two, they upped the price to a full 60 bucks following a statement that they added more content to the game than they initially intended. Three, according to the internet, bastion of all complaints, players who got the game early reveal that the campaign is very short. Finally, the multiplayer is literally a facsimile of Halo 3's offerings. Taken together, these elements led to this comic. Furthermore, thanks to reader Justin Utegg for suggesting I do an ODST strip this week.
If you'd like to have a say in what games and topics the comic focuses on, be sure to follow me on Twitter, where we have a grand time discussing such things.
