My apologies on the lazy update schedule. Midterm exams plagued me for a good chunk of the week. However, one piece of news stood out for me in the midst of all the turmoil. That being the fact that Capcom is making a CG Resident Evil film. This was like a ray of hope shining through the thick layer of feces that Paul W.S. Anderson has shoveled onto the cinematic Resident Evil franchise. Yes, Capcom should be making these films, not a man who has a near super-human ability to strip away the elements that comprise the essence of an established franchise. And the decision to go CG? Absolutely spot-on, in my opinion. I was a fan of the hyper-real style employed in FFVII: Advent Children and I think it would lend itself very well to the locales and creatures that inhabit the RE universe. After all, we’ve already seen that Nemesis as portrayed by a man in a rubber suit just doesn’t cut it.

So I made a Guitar Hero comic this week, mainly because I like to give the appearance that I’m very up to date with the gaming scene. I will tell you about Guitar Hero and myself. I played GH on the normal difficulty setting and had a good time. Lets face it though, on normal you're no "hero" -- a guitar good samaritan, maybe, but by no means a hero. No, for that distinction you have to play on expert and so I began to play on the harder difficulties. Well, I was not instantly good on these settings and so, like a toddler, I became horribly discouraged. I know if I just practiced I could overcome this (I’d like to think, anyways), but I guess I just don’t have the resolve to make it happen. And so I will be skipping out on GH III and, by extension, Rock Band. Weak, I know.
