Latin has survived in the modern age as medical terminology and as a basis for Harry Potter incantations. And they call it a dead language. Pshaw.
I've been playing the original Paper Mario on virtual console. I never played it back on N64 and I must say I find it way more enjoyable than Super Paper Mario. The franchise just works better as a pure RPG, I believe. Additionally, I'm enjoying some of the bad graphics in the game.
And I mean bad, literally. Don't get me wrong, the visual design is great, but when the sprites get large they look a bit awful. However, I have this weird thing where graphical imperfections in older games sometimes heavily add to the charm of the game for me. It must have something to do with nostalgia from my early teens when I played games most frequently during the PlayStation and N64 eras, a time when textures were
ubiquitously horrible up close and you were lucky if hands were modeled with a distinct thumb, nevermind individual fingers. In fact, I'm happy that these traditions still continue to thrive on the DS. No Joke.
