So one of the most violent games out there is coming out next month and the man who makes a living trying to fabricate a link between videogames and mass murder is legally barred from trying to block its sale or otherwise slander the game's producer. Sometimes things really do go right in the world.

I got a ton of responses from Xbox 360 users and the overwhelming opinion seems to be that the system performs very well using a VGA connection to a monitor. Surprisingly, quite a few users happily play the system on standard-def televisions as well. For some reason I had the idea that practically every 360 owner used a HDTV to play their games. So I now have feedback straight from the source -- gamers -- and I will no longer consider my set-up to be a limiting factor in my decision to get a 360. I resolve to get one before Resident Evil 5 comes out (speaking of which, RE5 is notably absent from current E3 game lists, oh noes). Thanks a lot to everyone who chimed in.
