Good For Your Health?

The Wii Health Pack seems quite interesting, in premise. It would be neat if it came with a wrist strap that could measure your pulse and transmit your heart rate to the Wii. It would
only have to contain a very simple electrode and could plug into the remote's port for power. If some type of "real" data is taken then the Health Pack
could transcend the gimmicky measures of state that offerings like Brain Age and Wii Sports provide. Using just heart rate in conjunction with a user's inputted height and weight,
you could get a pretty good estimate of the calories one burns by doing whatever it is the game has you do. Package that with a good variety of virtual activities and stat tracking and you just
may have something that compels people to improve themselves while having fun -- essentially what sports have done for the past several thousand years.
