Ok, so I know I said yesterday that news would be posted within 24 hours. But you see, I did not specify the frame of reference for that.
So while more than 24 hours may have seemed to pass for you...who knows, I could have have been traveling at light speed in a space craft - in which
case Einstein's theory of special relativity states that time will pass slower for me from your point of view. From that perspective, I may actually be
posting this news way before my 24 hour deadline. Or I could just be plain late with the news. You decide.
The news that the Wii sensor bar is nothing more than a few IR LEDs really opens the door to some MacGyver-like alternatives.
For instance, you could use the glowing eyes of a demon's severed head or two reptile terrariums with heat lamps.
I like the idea of the Wii's virtual console but there are so many TurboGrafx 16 games coming out and not much else. The thing is,
I already own a TG16 with most all of the games I care to play on the system. Where are all the SNES games I want to play? Japan has a
ton of good SNES VC games already, and even Europe has Donkey Kong Country. See, there's a funny story to this. When I was a kid my parents asked
which I wanted, a TG16 or a SNES. Since I was an impatient twerp, I said the TG16 since that came out first (SNES wasn't out yet). Well history makes
it clear which system was actually the better choice. I did eventually acquire a SNES, however. Get this though - I sold the SNES
and kept the TG16. Talk about the stupidity of youth.
