A lot of people are familiar with this enigmatic figure. For those who aren't, he's a fellow from the NES game Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For most of the game he serves no purpose save to utter the phrase "I AM ERROR." whenever you speak to him. Players have long wondered if this was some profound declaration or merely the mistake of a translator far too occupied with the business end of a bottle. Well, look no further because we have the exclusive scoop on the character's history.

So let's talk about cancer. Yeah, cancer. A lot of you probably know someone who has been stricken with it. And if you don't now, chances are either you or someone you care about will be. It's usually just a matter of time. I myself have had the displeasure of seeing leukemia and carcinoma in two relatives. The sad truth is that cancer can strike any person of any age no matter what preventative measures you take. And even as we develop treatments for the myriad of other diseases out there, cancer remains a very big thorn in our collective side. So how does cancer relate to webcomics? Well, Mike Rouse-Deane over at Webcomics in Print has brought together a number of webcomic artists to create a calendar to benefit cancer research. Here's the gist - it's called Tastefully Done and it features webcomic characters getting nude for the cause. Don't worry, there's nothing explicit, just a lot of creative cover-ups that you will enjoy. In fact, come spring you could be graced with some DU near-nekkidness as I've done the artwork for the month of April. So please, go here and put in an order (even though it for some reason says "digital video disc", don't worry, it's really a printed calendar). And to be clear, I have not received and will never receive a penny from this calendar. All proceeds go to cancer research. So spend a little cash for a good cause and get an awesome calendar to impress/horrify your friends.
