Geez, another late Monday update by me. This time my excuse centers around me not having any internet until today. Anyways, onwards.

I saw the Silent Hill movie on DVD recently, having missed out on it while it was in theaters. I thought it was a pretty good film, and I'd certainly go so far as to say that it's the best game-to-film adaptation out there. It definitely surpasses the very overrated Mortal Kombat. I had heard complaints about a muddled plot, and I guess I can see where those are coming from - there's a period of contemplation after the movie that is necessary to ultimately digest the whole thing and put all the pieces together. Overall, though, there's nothing that defies understanding and I appreciated that the filmmakers didn't just spell the plot out in black and white simplicity. The set pieces and creature designs were dead-on and are really one of the best assets of the movie. Everything on screen is disturbing and unnerving, true to the Silent Hill universe.

The denizens of Silent Hill really had developed quite an organized system for living in and avoiding the dangers of a world that routinely gets drenched in hell - A fact that I took to the extreme for today's comic.

So I probably don't need to say anything, but the 14th should be a big day. Keep your fingers crossed.
