It would seem that Sony has kept with its tradition of being "inspired" by Nintendo controllers. As revealed in their pre-E3 press conference, the PS3 controller has been redesigned to be a clone of the previous iteration with added motion sensing capabilities suspiciously similar to what is being used in the Wii. To conclude that Sony implemented these new functions independently of Nintendo's announcements just wouldn't be parsimonious.

Anyways, that's one conference down and we're just hours away from another in the form of Nintendo's. Expectations are high, let's hope they deliver big time.
