The Koopa Kids' appearances in Mario games are quite sporatic. Barring the upcoming New Super Mario Bros., they
haven't appeared in a proper Mario platformer since their debut in Super Mario Bros. 3. What exactly happens to the
seven Koopalings during their long expanses of down-time, especially given their father's apparent favoritism with
Boswer Jr?
While the classic Mario platformer is set for re-emergence, the "roll a giant ball and consume the world"
genre appears to be fading into oblivion.
Best to leave on a high note, I suppose. There's only so much quirky music and cylinder-skulled, mega-phallus monarchs a
person can take before the whole thing wears on the mind.
